Join us in helping keep Britain warm

Here at Homefire, we understand many households are concerned about how they will stay warm this winter, so we’ve created the Homefire Heatbank and will donate fuel to families across the UK.

How does it work?

For every donation on our website, we will match this in fuel worth the same monetary value. Using Homefire’s national distribution network, the fuel will then be delivered to our chosen charity partner Feeding Britain and distributed to food banks across the country for them to allocate as they wish.

Feeding Britain is an award-winning charity with a vision of the UK where no one goes hungry or cold. They support a national network of 60 regional anti-hunger partnerships comprising more than 600 local organisations, ranging from community centres and schools to local authorities and social enterprises.

For every £4 donation you make, we will double your donation to £8, providing 10kg of fuel to the Heatbank. For every £8 contribution, we will double your donation to £16, worth 20kg of fuel, and for every £16 donation, we will turn this into £32, worth 40kg of fuel to the Heatbank.

Our pledge

Homefire is donating £10,000 worth of fuel to the Heatbank to kick off this scheme. To put this into value, this is around 15 tons of smokeless fuel, enough to fuel 1,000 families across the UK for at least three nights. 

At Homefire, we believe families should not have to go cold this winter and hope we can help prevent that.

This year, we have seen an unprecedented amount of people struggling to live comfortably due to the cost of living crisis we find ourselves in. According to the Office for National Statistics, 91% of adults in Great Britain reported an increase in their cost of living between June and July this year, which means many have to forego heating their homes.

We aim to help many people struggling to afford to heat their homes this year. Thanks to all of our generous customers who can help us make a difference this winter.
